PICTURE BOOK:
LUCY'S NEW HOME

Inside of the book (dragged)_edited.jpg

Lucy’s New Home is a story about starting over, inspired by my own journey of becoming a stranger in a new place. Lucy leaves her village carrying a growing plant on her back: a metaphor for roots, memory, and the invisible weight of change.

As she searches for a place to belong, she discovers that home is not a place you find, but something you slowly create with others: the friends you make, and the kindness you share.

I hope children who move between countries can find comfort in this book. Growing up across different places shaped how I see home, and one small childhood moment inspired the story. When my mum said it was time to go home, I asked, “Which one?” That question became the starting point for a story about belonging.
